Detailed Description

Like birds, humans are migratory creatures. Our migrations may not always feel as literal as the migration patterns of a bird, moving north in the spring to nest and flourish and south in the winter to guarantee food and sun; but they are equally necessary. Sometimes we migrate like birds, following the warm weather and twelve hour days. Other times we migrate within, shifting to people or places or thoughts within our own habitats that help us feel most at home. And like birds, sometimes we are forced to flee. Our homes can become unsafe and refuge must be sought elsewhere. We all deserve a safe place so when you see another in distress, migrating for the sake of safety or community or refuge, welcome them home. We are all from the same flock and we all deserve a safe place to fly.
