Andrew Ghrist is a Chicago-based artist, illustrator, and printmaker and the owner of Firecrest Press. Ghrist’s work consists of equal parts fantastic, organic illustration of nature and graphic elements created by the printmaking process. The prints and, even more so, Ghrist’s original drawings exhibit his dedication to craftsmanship and detail. This transforms the work into artifacts of countless hours spent diligently crouched over an image. Ghrist studied printmaking and received his BFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
