Detailed Description

Being adopted as an Asian American while growing up in Texas has left me with a mixed identity. I created this pieced inspired by Topo Chico, a beloved local sparkling water made in Mexico, but adopted and beloved by Texans. I wanted to showcase the iconic Topo bottle, but with a Texas twist, switching the language to “Texas Chica” and adding the state flower, bluebonnets. I also added a longhorn in the center to emphasize the Texas symbols of the state and how it has adopted this beverage as their own. This is a 4 color print made with scarlet, yellow, blue, and black.
