Artist Bio
Based in Bloomington, Indiana, I am a graphic designer, letterpress printer, and educator specializing in hand-printed and custom-designed posters. I teach graphic design at Indiana University, where I am a faculty member and manage the letterpress studio. I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2-Dimensional Art from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point and a Master of Fine Arts in Printmaking from Indiana University. My work has been supported through artist residencies across the United States and exhibited both nationally and internationally.
My practice centers on designing and printing show and event posters for touring bands, non-profits, and community organizations, drawing from both contemporary design and traditional printmaking methods. I work with traditional wood and metal type, hand-carved blocks, and contemporary production tools, including laser cutters and CNC routers, to produce hand-pulled letterpress prints. All work is printed by me on a No. 4 Vandercook proofing press in my letterpress studio, in close collaboration with clients and the broader design community.
