Detailed Description
A three color screen print (4 colors on the foil variant) created for Goose’s back to back shows at the Fiddlers Green Amphitheater in Greenwood Village, CO on June 6 and 7, 2025. APs are Signed and numbered in an edition of 15, Foil variants are numbered as a separate AP edition of 15.
While researching the venue, I learned that the amphitheater is located in Marjorie Park, home to MOA’s outdoor sculpture collection. One piece in particular, an Etruscan Chimera, stood out. It’s a mythological creature with a lion’s body and head, a goat’s head on its back, and a serpent for a tail. I imagined this beast was worn out from its job of scaring off evil and, during a nap, dreamed of a better life, split into three separate animals, each living freely. The background includes nods to other sculptures from the park like Resistance by Leslie Temple, La Fontaine Aux Oiseaux by Jean-Michel Folon, Woman of Authority by Agnes Nyanhongo, and Eye of the Storm by AJ Davis.
